A coroner’s inquest is significantly different from a criminal or civil trial. At a trial, both the prosecution or plaintiff and the defense have a chance to argue their side of the story in court. At an inquest, only the district attorney is allowed to present a case before the jury renders its verdict. So the jury only hears one side of the narrative.

Car Crashes Into Pizzeria in Summerlin

Newspaper photos show glass strewn across part of the dining area of the restaurant. There is no word on the cost of the damages to the store itself. But it was just pure luck that no diners were sitting at a window table when the car crashed through the glass.

Beware of Toys with Choking Hazards

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall this week of three different toys that were made by Fun Stuff Inc. The Chinese-manufactured toys are called Klick Klick Balls, BoBo Balls, and Click Armband Bracelets. Collectively, about 36,700 units were sold from January 2009 through last month for between $2 and $5 at beach resort retailers across the country.

Car Accidents in Las Vegas Construction Areas

It is helpful to anticipate driving situations which can result in traffic accidents before a collision occurs. For instance, if a freeway lane on I-215 is ending in a quarter mile and there is a car in that lane next to you, you can reasonably assume that the car will need to merge into your lane. This would allow you to speed up or slow down in order to make room for the merging car and avoid an accident.
