It is important to remember that even if another driver claims not to have seen you or that your speed was deceptive, you are still not at fault in the accident. Nevada law requires that all vehicles yield the right of way to oncoming traffic when turning left at a place where no lights, stop signs, or other traffic signals are involved.

I want to send my heartfelt condolences to the family of the motor bike rider and I hope the passenger is able to pull through, though their life may never be the same. This was a terrible accident and illustrates the risks associated with riding a motorcycle.

I understand the temptation to take your motor bike out on Interstate 15 (I-15), I-215, or maybe even the Vegas strip for a ride without a helmet; the wind whipping through your hair and the sun shining on your face, but this is extremely dangerous. As mentioned earlier in the post, you’re nine times more likely to get hurt on a motorcycle in an accident. Don’t take that risk.
