Segway Breakdowns Can Cause Serious Injuries

May 19th, 2010 by Farhan Naqvi in Personal Injury

The Segway can be a very sensitive piece of equipment. If you lean forward, the Segway goes forward. You lean back, the Segways goes back. It reacts to the rate in which you move the device and will actually shut off automatically, without warning, if it interprets your movements to be erratic. This is very risky. Imagine, you are crossing Las Vegas Boulevard on your Segway headed to the Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino going 5 miles per hour, but then you notice car traveling down the road and you decide to increase your speed to 10 miles per hour.
