By Farhan Naqvi, Personal Injury Lawyer in Las Vegas

Most car accident deaths involve either drivers or vehicle occupants. However, pedestrians can also be killed after being struck by vehicles. Sometimes, motorcyclists can be killed in traffic accidents. But in the northeast Valley this week, there was a fatality involving the operator of a motor scooter.

According to Metro Police, on Wednesday morning the operator of a scooter was struck by a car at the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Craig Road near Nellis Air Force Base. The driver eventually died due to the severity of the injuries sustained in the crash.

My deepest sympathies go out to the friends and family of the scooter operator. Loving someone you love is never easy, but it’s especially painful when the loss is sudden and unexpected.

Scooters are becoming more popular with Nevadans because they can transport an individual from place to place without using very much gasoline. Scooters are usually easy to operate and the temperate southern Nevada climate is conducive to their use.

If you have been injured in a traffic accident while riding a scooter and the accident was caused by another motorist, you should contact a personal injury lawyer to see about getting compensation for your injuries and lost time at work.
