Since the Civic’s driver is guilty of a hit-and-run accident and was also driving a stolen vehicle (both of which are violations of the penal code), a jury hearing a personal injury lawsuit would quite likely assign a portion of the blame for the auto-pedestrian accident to him or her – even though those two factors may not have had a direct bearing on the cause of the accident.

A Jean, NV man found out the hard way on Thursday night in Las Vegas just north of the UNLV campus. The victim was hit by a 2004 Volkswagen Golf at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Palos Verdes Street (between Swenson Street and Paradise Road) when he reportedly ran out into the roadway around 7pm. The 60-year old victim was transported to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition.
